LAB 212 Opens in Demopolis

The Demopolis City School System recently cut the ribbon on a new lab emphasizing Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Known as Lab 212, this center is available to all Demopolis teachers and students.

Demopolis City School System is Accepting Sealed Bids on a 1998 International School Bus

The Demopolis City School Board recently surplussed a 1998 International School Bus (94,665 miles) and is now accepting sealed bids for this property. Sealed bids should be delivered to Mrs. Lydia Randall at the Demopolis Board of Education (609 South Cedar Street) by noon on October 5, 2018. Sealed bids will be opened October 5th at 12:15 and the winning bidder will be contacted. Questions or inquiries can be directed to Blaine Hathcock, Transportation Supervisor, at 334-289-0294.

Demopolis Receives Funding for 4th Alabama First Class Pre-K Program

Westside Elementary School applied for and received funding for a fourth Pre-K program. The anticipated start date for this program is September 4th. The Westside family is happy to serve another 18 four year old students through the national award winning Alabama First Class Pre-K Program. Families on a waiting list have been notified of the program and anticipated start date.

NON-RESIDENT STUDENT MEETING JULY 31st at 3:00 pm

The next meeting for any new non-resident student requesting to attend Demopolis City Schools will be Tuesday, July 31st at 3:00 pm. at the DCS Board of Education. A copy of the Non-Resident Application is attached.
