The Demopolis City School System recently cut the ribbon on a new lab emphasizing Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Known as Lab 212, this center is available to all Demopolis teachers and students.

The Demopolis City School Board recently surplussed a 1998 International School Bus (94,665 miles) and is now accepting sealed bids for this property. Sealed bids should be delivered to Mrs. Lydia Randall at the Demopolis Board of Education (609 South Cedar Street) by noon on October 5, 2018. Westside Elementary School applied for and received funding for a fourth Pre-K program. The anticipated start date for this program is September 4th. The Westside family is happy to serve another 18 four year old students through the national award winning Alabama First Class Pre-K Program. Families on a waiting list have been notified of the program and anticipated start date.
Shirts are $12.00 and can be purchased in the school lobby. Sizes available are YXS to AXL.
DHS was recently listed in the top 25 of Alabama High Schools and top 10% nationwide on the basis of academic performance, college and career readiness, and graduation rates.
The next meeting for any new non-resident student requesting to attend Demopolis City Schools will be Tuesday, July 31st at 3:00 pm. at the DCS Board of Education. A copy of the Non-Resident Application is attached.

Parents of non-resident students wishing to enroll their children in the Demopolis City School System for the 2018/2019 School Year must schedule an appointment/orientation with the superintendent. There is a $50.00 non-refundable application fee.
